Member Preview Party: Art After Stonewall, 1969-1989

Members are invited to be the first to celebrate this momentous exhibition at CMA. Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots of 1969, this long-awaited and groundbreaking survey features more than 200 works of art and related visual materials that explore the profound impact of the LGBTQ Civil-Rights movement on the art world. It presents a diverse group of artists and activists who lived and worked at the intersections of avant-garde art worlds, radical political movements, and profound social change.

This member-exclusive evening includes gallery viewing, light hors d’oeuvres, and exhibition talks.

Evening Schedule:

6:00 – 8:30 PM- Light hors d’oeuvres reception and gallery preview

6:30 PM- Talk by Jonathan Weinberg, critic at the Yale School of Art and Curator & Director of Research at the Maurice Sendak Foundation

7:15 PM- Talk by Anna Conlan, Curator and Exhibitions Manager at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz
